The political constitutions for the three countries of the North and West Amazon, in which CANOA is carrying out activities, recognise the multi-ethnic character of each respective country and include the recognition of collective rights, such as the use of own languages and territorial rights. > Constitutions <

All three countries have ratified the Convention 169 of the International Labour Organisation, which covers a wide range of rights and indigenous participation in the definition of initiatives that affect their territories.
